Gee's first wife was Kathryn Getchell. The were married 1 May 1920 in Bexar County, Texas. She had previously been married to Frank X. Urquhart. They were divorced in 1920.

Kathryn and Gee had no children.

Gee's second wife was Mary Louise Kennedy, who was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on 26 August 1900. They were married sometime between 1937 and 1940. There were no children.

AUSTINTOWN, OH – Arlene Billak, 64,passed away peacefully Sunday, April 21, 2013, in her sleep.

She was born Jan. 13, 1949, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of Stan and Marie (Chrobak) Izenas.

Arlene was a graduate of Sharon High School and retired from State Farm Insurance as an office manager.


Arlene leaves behind her husband, Richard; son Damian; two brothers, Paul and Bob Izenas; and two sisters, Kathy and Irene.

She fought courageously in her final days the cancer that riddled her body. When anyone asked her if there was any pain she would smile and say “Not Much.” She was a woman of great strength and humility who will be forever missed.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, Youngstown, Ohio, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, Ohio.

Friends may call on Friday, April 26, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.

Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Austintown, Ohio. Mahoning County

ELMORE: Elnora M. Helmeci, 84, of Elmore OHIO died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, Ohio.

She was born on September 20, 1928 in Port Clinton, Ohio. She graduated from Harris-Elmore High School and then married Andrew Helmeci, a returning WW II veteran.

The couple resided in Elmore until his death in 2010.

Elnora is survived by one half-sister, Kathryn Johnson of Delaware OH; daughters, Ann Luttio of Minnetonka MN and Barbara Helmeci of Hainesport NJ; sons, Thomas Helmeci of Woodville OH and Ronald Helmeci of NYC, NY; grandchildren, Angela (Steve) Cook, Jennifer (Steve) Burner, and James Helmeci; and, great-grandchildren, Ian Cook, Elizabeth Cook, Olivia Cook, Isabelle Cook, Ava Cook, Tyler Burner, Courtney Burner, Tayler Helmeci and Skyler Helmeci.

She enjoyed reading, both books and newspapers, travel, and nature. She was an accomplished seamstress who also loved to knit, crochet and work counted cross stitch.
She was a loyal fan of the PGA and all local sporting events.
She was an active member of the women's group of St. Paul-Trinity United Methodist Church in Elmore for many years.

Elnora was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Dorothy (Wendt) Sarnes; half-brother, Willard Sarnes; and half-sister, Wilma Sarnes.

Services for Elnora will be held privately by the family.

Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Paul-Trinity United Methodist Church. Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.

HELMECI Andrew Andrew Helmeci, 85, of Elmore, OH, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon, OHIO.

He was born April 20, 1924, in Toledo, OHIO, to the late Steve and Elizabeth Helmeci.

He served in the United States Army during WW II in which he was a part of the Invasion of Normandy.

On March 22, 1947 he married the former Elnora Sarnes and she survives.
Andrew retired in 1986 from Martin-Marietta, Woodville, OH. He was a member of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore and was a past member of the Elmore American Legion.
Andrew enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, trains and his cat.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years Elnora of Elmore; sons: Thomas Helmeci of Woodville, Ohio and Ronald Helmeci of New York City, NY; daughters: Ann Luttio of Minneapolis, MN and Barbara Helmeci of Hainesport, NJ; grandchildren: Angela (Steve) Cook, Jennifer (Steve) Burner, and James Helmeci; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-brother Joe Helmeci, brothers: Steve and Nick Helmeci, and sisters: Helen Soltis and Irene Helmeci.
Services for Andrew will be held privately by the family.

Memorial Contributions are being given to St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church.

CAMPBELL. OH – Frank Dellick, 91, passed away Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013 at Hospice House.

Frank was born April 5, 1922, in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Walter and Anastasia Maletich Dellick.

He was a 1941 graduate of East High School, where he was inducted into their sports Hall of Fame in 1992.

Frank worked as a factory worker at Republic Rubber, which later became Aeroquip.

He was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church.

Frank was an avid Browns and Indians fan. He was a patient man, especially when it came to gardening and yard work. Frank was the comedian of the family, telling stories that kept his nieces and nephews in awe.

Frank leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Edith Piccoli, whom he married June 7, 1952; his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Robert Yankle, with whom he made his home; his grandchildren, Robert Frank (Mandy) Yankle, Matthew (Amy Sebest) Yankle, and Sarah (Robert) Ridel; a great-granddaughter, Eliza Ridel; a sister, Rosemary Cifalde of Poland, Ohio; two brothers, William (Betty) Dellick of Campbell, Ohio and James Dellick of Poland, OH; and his sister-in-law, Victoria Murar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Katherine Dellick; and brothers, Jack, Joseph and Thomas Dellick.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy Catholic Church.

The Dellick family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.

John W. Kresevich

BOARDMAN – John W. Kresevich, 86, formerly of 2254 Manor Ave. in Poland, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Greenbriar Medical Health Center in Boardman, Ohio.

He was born Nov. 6, 1926, the son of Joseph and Annie (Burlovich) Kresevich in Bessemer, Pa.

John graduated from Bessemer High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh.
He served in the U.S. Army, then also attended Youngstown State University.
He served as Past President of the East Side Kiwanis in Youngstown, worked at Republic Rubber and The Dollar Bank, retiring in December of 1991.

He was also a member of VFW Post 3538 in Struthers, Ohio.

He enjoyed all sports, such as football, baseball, basketball, bowling and golf.

His wife, the love of his life, Loretta, whom he married June 10, 1950, died June 19, 1998

An infant son, Robert Kresevich also is deceased.

Besides his parents, wife and son, John was preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Welsh and Mary Papes.

He is survived by nephews and nieces, Paul Colaluca, Dan Colaluca, James Colaluca, David Colaluca and Linda Varga, all of Youngstown, Ohio; Michael Cholakian of Acton, Calif., Patricia Blazek of Henderson, Nevada, Gail Yelsky of Mayfield Heights and Michael J. (Susan) Welsh of Canfield, Ohio.

John cherished his nieces and nephews, many friends, neighbors and caregivers and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of Greenbriar Commons Assisted Living and Greenbriar Medical Health Care for theircompassionate care over the last five years.

There will be no calling hours.

Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St. in Poland.

Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery, Poland, Ohio (Mahoning County)

NILES, OH – William Walton Morris, 82, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

He was born March 24, 1931, in Augusta, Ga., a son of the late Lamar and Frances Hickman Morris.

He married Gisela Burgdorf on Feb. 25, 1956.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Charleston, his Masters Degree from Duke University and his Doctorate from John Hopkins University.
He was a cost analyst with Thomas Steel and was a Professor at several universities, including Franklin and Marshall University, the College of Charleston, the University of North Carolina and Florida State University.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.

Walton was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church and S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. (Barbershop Quartet Singing)

Memories of Walton will be carried on by his three sons, James Morris of Niles, Ohio, Thomas (Roxane) Morris of Howland, Ohio and David (Angela) Morris of Youngstown, OH; his daughter, Katherine (Kent) Hall of Charleston, S.C.; brother, Ernest (Ellen) Morris of Winston Salem, N.C.; and six grandchildren, Gregory and Jeffrey Hall, Robert, Jonnah, David Jr. and Spencer Morris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gisela Burgdorf Morris; and two grandchildren, Grace Morris and Douglas Hall.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, where the Rev. Dee Emmert will officiate.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 2, 2013, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

Walton will be laid to rest at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren, Ohio. (Trumbull County)

COLUMBIANA – Rebecca W. Nery died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida.

The third of four daughters, Becky was born on June 21, 1944, to Lewis and Virginia Way.

She was a lifelong Columbiana, Ohio resident and devoted much of her time and energy to the community.

Becky graduated from Columbiana High School and attended Allegheny College, where she met her future husband, Victor W. Nery.
She was an instructor of water safety instructors, was a member of the women’s synchronized swimming team, and completed her bachelor’s degree in education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.
They married on June 12, 1965.

Establishing their home in Columbiana, Becky and Vic raised three boys who are now married and have their own families, Vic and Laura (Morgan and Matt) of Columbiana, David and Bridget (Andrew, Ava, Eleanor and William) of Wiscasset, Maine and Mike and Katie (Natalie and Olivia) of Asheville, N.C.

Becky served her hometown as Park Board President, Village Council member, and was one of the original members of the Columbiana Community Foundation.
She was the founder of the Firestone Park Festival of the Arts, was instrumental in rebuilding the Columbiana Park pool, and received the Citizen of the Year Award.
The Nerys have been active members of the Salem Golf Club, and in recent years have spent winters at their second home in Florida.

Her husband, Vic; her children and their families; as well as her sisters, Polly (Frank) Boston, Sally (Orvis) Kinney and Margie Way survive her.

Becky has many friends both in Columbiana and Florida who will remember her with love for the kind and caring person she was.

Calling hours will be held at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana on Friday, May 3, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Charles Ready officiating.

Burial will follow at Columbiana Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to the Columbiana Community Foundation, 11 South Main St., Columbiana, OH 44408.

AUSTINTOWN – A memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Jerry S. Razum, 60, who died Sunday afternoon, April 28, 2013 at the Valley Renaissance Care Center in Boardman, Ohio.

Jerry was born Oct. 15, 1952, in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Steven J. and Madeline (Bishop) Razum.

He was a 1970 graduate of Ursuline High School and later worked at General Fireproofing as a press operator.

He was an avid bowler and had rolled two perfect 300 games.

He is survived by a sister, Jerlyn (Gene) Carney of Salem, Ohio; a niece, Keri (Joe) Duncan; and three great-nephews, Connor, Mason and Cameron Duncan, all of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial will be with his parents at Resurrection Cemetery.

SHARON "SHARY" A. BAHLEDA (nee Smiechewicz), age 58, passed away April 26, 2013 from metastatic breast cancer.
Beloved high school sweetheart and wife for the best 34 years of Joseph (her 'Joey B'); loving mother of the two best things in her life: Julianne Kapis (Robert) and Kimberly Scott (Nathan); dearest daughter "Shorty" of Walter and Loretta Smiechewicz (both deceased); cherished sister and very best friend of Sandra Skitzki (Raymond) and dear sister of Walter "The Amazing Spiderman" Smiechewicz (Nandita); loving "Auntie Steve" of Jennifer Skitzki; dear aunt of Mike (Amy) and Matt Skitzki (Play me out Matt!); dear friend and neighbor to her two backyard pool buddies, (next door Mom) Joann Koss and (personal nurse) Diane Lapars. Walter Powazki - Lochwinowicze, Poland to Ohio

POWAZKI WALTER POWAZKI, of Lakewood, Ohio passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on April 30th, 2013. Walter was born in Lochwinowicze, Poland on September 26, 1928, to Vincent and Maria Powazki.

Walter worked as a Mechanical Engineer (PE) for Davy McKee, for over 20 years.
He designed high pressure boilers for use all over the world.
He graduated from high school, while attached to the Polish Army under British Command in Egypt and London.
He received his diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Dundee Technical College in Scotland.
Prior to the onset of his illness, he had been actively involved in the Sikorski Veterans Group SWAP 203 and the Polish-American Cultural Center.
He received the Kresy Siberia Cross from the President of Poland, acknowledging his deportation to Siberia for three years, during W.W.II.
Walter is survived by his wife, Ruth Powazki of 50 years; his children, Ed (Debbie) Powazki and Barbara (Idy) Sall; grandchildren Sarah, Nathan, Micah, Louison, and Adam; sisters, Danuta Stevens and Stefania Daliani; nieces and nephews.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Teresa, and his daughter, Mary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Holy Family Hospice in Parma, OHIO, or the Polish American Cultural Center, 6501 Lansing Ave. Cleveland, Ohio 44105

Bahna, Donald G. Jr. "Don", age 48, of Knoxville, TN departed this life on April 20, 2013.
Don was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 27, 1964.

Don graduated from Sylvania Northview High School in Sylvania, Ohio, in 1983, where he was a four-year varsity wrestler.
He went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in 1987 with a BS in Circulatory Technology. At OSU he was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity and remained a proud and loyal Buckeye, always looking forward to cheering on the Bucs in the Horseshoe each year.

After graduation he was employed at Medical College of Ohio Hospital for four years as a perfusionist (heart/lung machine) until relocating to Knoxville in 1991 to work at Baptist Hospital.

In 1998 Don joined Daryl Mitchell and George Georgiafandis to form Volunteer Perfusion, a private partnership which provides perfusion services to Ft. Sanders, Parkwest and Oak Ridge Hospitals.
He retired in December, 2012, due to illness.

In his personal and professional life, Don earned the respect, admiration and love of all whose lives he touched. He had a fantastic memory, a sensitive spirit, and a wonderful wit. He captured the essence of an individual's humor with spot-on imitations.

As a father, he always put his children first and he inspired so many with his devotion and commitment to raising them.
As a son, brother, nephew and friend he always saw the good in everyone and his friends were friends for life. Those friends were there with support, good deeds, and prayers during the time when he needed them most.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald G. Bahna.

He is survived by his cherished children, Alex and Chloe Bahna; mother, Kay Bahna of Sylvania, OHIO; sisters, Carrie Hanley (Rik) of Williamsburg, VA, Connie Helms of Seminole, FL; brother, David Bahna of Northglenn, CO; nieces, Amelia Helms and Maija Miettinen; nephews, Dylan Helms and Kai Miettinen; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Whitney and Juha Miettinen; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jannie and Charles Swatzson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28th, 2013at the Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel.
A Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 29th, at All Saints Catholic Church.
There will be a memorial Mass to celebrate his life at St Joseph Church, Sylvania Ohio on Saturday, May 11th at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Sylvania, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Don's memory for esophageal cancer research.

Sylvia Jechura passed away on April 29, 2013, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
She was born on December 11, 1926, to Joseph and Stella (Kania) Karnikowski in Toledo, OHIO.


Sylvia was known lovingly as "Busia" to her five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
There was always a smile on her face, a flower in her hair and a warm greeting for all who crossed her path.
Sylvia was a member of St. Adalbert Parish and later one of the founding members of Regina Coeli Parish. She served as leadership in the Girl Scouts of NW Ohio, member of the St. Francis Guild, member of the Salesians and member of many special clubs along with her life-long friend Virginia Wozniak.

Sylvia was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio where she met Sylvester "Shake" Jechura and married on August 5, 1944. They had two daughters, Susan and Sharon.
Sylvia enjoyed the camaraderie on race nights at Toledo Raceway Park, which was founded by her late husband, Shake, along with his brothers Skip, Chet and Eddie.
After selling their interest in Raceway Park in 1988, they retired to Florida where they spent the next 22 years. Sylvia returned to Toledo after the death of her husband of 65 years, to be closer to her family.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Shake Jechura; daughters, Susan (Jechura) Wagner and Sharon Jechura, and her parents, Joseph and Stella Karnikowski.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Carey (Don) Manders, Dion (Lea-Ann) Wilson, Amy (Dennis) Kazmierczak, Kelly (Mason) Manders, Dion Hall and Steven (Julie) Suzor; 9 great-grandchildren; goddaughter, Martha Majewski; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the loving staff at West Park Place, Senior Care Management and the caring doctors and nurses at St. Vincent Hospital.

Family and friends may visit Saturday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., where members of the Regina Coeli Altar Rosary Society and the Salesians will lead a Rosary at 10:00 a.m.

A Memorial Service will follow at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be private in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

ROSEVILLE: Betty L. Solenbarger, 85, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 4:25 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Adams Lane Care Center, Zanesville, Ohio.

She was born on July 24, 1927, in Roseville, Ohio a daughter of the late Jesse and Belva Forgrave Solenbarger. She was a graduate of Roseville High School Class of 1946. She was a pottery employee at Brush and Friendship Potteries and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her caring friends, Sona, Becky, Rick, Cindy and Lisa Marshall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Solenbarger; and a sister, Doris Ardrey.

No calling hours or services will be observed. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May, 4, 2013 2013 at Rose Hill Cemetery with Pastor Al Laese officiating.

My father in law John N Villies served in WWII with Bobby. He often spoke of Bobby..... In his memoirs he wrote about Bobby and stayed in contact with him over the years. Old war buddies never forgot each other.
