I'm needing info on ancestor of mine Charlotte "Sally" Brison. She was born abt. 1792 in SC and was married to Caleb Brothers and died abt 1819. I can't find no information on her parents. Any info would help, thanks in advanced.

ZANESVILLE: Olga Bremze, 94, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away at 12:25 AM Monday, October 27, 2014 at Helen Purcell Home.

She was born in Talsi, Latvia on April 30, 1920 the daughter of the late Martin Kopsthal.

Olga retired from Brockway Glass and was a former member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Olga enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Olga is survived by her daughter: Baiba B. (James) Owens of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; grandson: Blair A. (Elizabeth) Owens of Costa Mesa, CA, great grandson: Alexander Owens, granddaughter: Baiba M. Owens (Miles Hayward) of Phoenix, AZ and great granddaughter: Bremze Hayward.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband: Voldemars Bremze who died October 1, 1983.
Olga will be cremated and buried with her husband in Latview Memorial Park, Saugerties, NY where a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Virginia (Bloomer) Ward - Howard

VIRGINIA LEE (BLOOMER) WARD-HOWARD, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 11, 2014 at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born October 20, 1929 in Clinton, OK to Solon L. and Helen (Davis) Bloomer. Virginia attended Seiling Schools and was united in marriage to Joseph William "Jodie" Ward, June 8, 1947 at the Bloomer home in Seiling, OK. She lived most of her young life in the Bloomer house, moving there when she was three years old. She still owns this home which was built in 1910 by her grandfather, Tom L. Davis.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husbands, Jodie Ward and Bill Howard, her parents and her brother and sister-in-law, Parker E. "Gene" Bloomer and Billie Bloomer-Evans. She is survived by her four children: Bruce and Teresa Ward of Chester, Pam and Kent Waugh of Palm Harbor, Florida, Ronnie and Sue Ward of Newcastle and Tom and Schree' Ward of Edmond; nine grandchildren, Tammy Hendle, Cody Waugh, Annthea Waugh, Bryce Ward, Brody Ward, Trent Ward, Romi Price, James Ward and Frank Alberson. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.

Virginia lived most of her life in Seiling as a homemaker. Following Jodie's death, she married Bill Howard, September 8, 1979 and they resided in Lawton until 2006 when she moved to Oklahoma City to be nearer her family. She was a member of the Village Christian Church in Oklahoma City, the Nouveau Livre Book Club and she enjoyed attending Esther Women each month.

ERIC HAWORTH

ERIC DWAYNE HAWORTH, son of Brett Dwayne and Densi Lynn (McKinsey) Haworth, was born July 3, 1984 at Okeene, OK. He departed this life on Thursday, July 17, 2014 following an automobile accident in Logan County, OK. He was 30 years of age.

Eric began his school years in Amarillo, TX and moved with his parents to Canton when he was a fourth grader. He graduated from Canton High School in 2003 where he played football, basketball and he also ran track. He also enjoyed bull riding. He was united in marriage to Melissa Ann Woods October 7, 2006 at the Cedar Springs Church in Major County. Eric began working in the oil fields and later the family moved to Woodward where he worked as a truck driver for Jericho. He returned to oil field work where he was currently a derrick hand for Unit Drilling. The family had recently moved to their new home in HennesseyOK.

He is survived by his two children, three year old Kyler Dwayne and one year old Kenly Ann, his mother Densi Haworth of Fay, one sister Brittney Nacole Haworth and grandparents, Peggy and Mike Semler and Diana Newton. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded by two infant children, Kinsey and Kaden and by his father, Brett Haworth in 2001.

MELISSA HAWORTH

MELISSA ANN HAWORTH, daughter of Kenneth and Janet (Sharp) Woods, was born February 7, 1985 at Okeene, OK. She departed this life on Thursday, July 17, 2014 following an automobile accident in Logan County, OK. She was 29 years of age.

Melissa started Kindergarten at Longdale then transferred to Fairview elementary school. She moved to Longdale with her family and attended Canton School where she graduated from high school in 2003. She was a manager for the Canton Tigers and was also a cheerleader. Following high school graduation, she attended Northeastern A&M in Miami, OK then transferred to Phillips University in Enid. Melissa received her nursing degree in 2007 from High Plains Technology School in Woodward. She was united in marriage to Eric Haworth October 7, 2006 at the Cedar Springs Church in Major County. Following nursing school, Melissa worked at Grace Living Center in Woodward and later worked for a home health agency. Eric and Melissa had recently moved to their new home in Hennessey.

She is survived by her two children, three year old Kyler Dwayne and one year old Kenly Ann, her parents, Kenneth and Janet Woods of Longdale, one brother Kenneth Woods, Jr. and one sister Linzy Woods both of Longdale. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two infant children, Kinsey and Kaden and grandparents, Karen and Clarence Coulson and Dorothy and Lloyd Woods.

JEFFREY LYNN HOPPER, son of Jacob Leo and Patricia June (Squires) Hopper, was born October 13, 1960 at Woodward, Oklahoma. He departed this life on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his home in Woodward at the age of 53 years.

Jeff was raised and educated at Mutual, OK where he attended Mutual Public School and graduated high school there with the class of 1978. He furthered his education at Okmulgee Tech where he received his certification in heat and air. While attending Okmulgee, he came home on weekends to work for Bittle Shelby at his business known as Service Engine Equipment.

Jeff married Ronda Cooley September 9, 1979 at the First Christian Church in Seiling. Four children were born to this marriage: Jeremiah, Jennifer, Jess and Julie.

Jeff worked for Palmer Service in Woodward and later worked as shop foreman for Case Power Equipment. He worked for several oil companies in Woodward as a heavy equipment mechanic and fabricator. Jeff was an avid NASCAR fan and he liked fishing and coyote hunting.

He is survived by his father, Leo Hopper of Mutual, his children: Jeremiah Hopper and wife Cynthia of Amarillo, TX, Jennifer Nightwalker of Noble, Jess Hopper of Stillwater and Julie Geddes of Seiling, four grandchildren and two brothers, Jamie Hopper (Terri) and Jon Hopper (Cheryl) both of Mutual. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister, Marva Lee Hopper and one brother, Jake Hopper.

IVA LEE GOULD, daughter of Cleasey Homer and Winona Lucille (Kahle) Shook, was born October 7, 1935 near Longdale, Oklahoma. She departed this life late Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.

Iva Lee was raised and educated at Longdale where she graduated from high school with the class of 1953. She was united in marriage to Jay Dee Gould, March 18, 1954 at the Orion Baptist Church. They made their home in the Orion community where they raised their three children. Debra Lee, Ronald Wayne, and Jerry Don. Iva Lee helped her husband with the farm work and she also enjoyed feeding the birds, embroidery work, making crafts and acrylic painting. She was a member of the Orion Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Taylor of Seiling, Ronnie Gould and wife Teresa of Chester, and Jerry Gould and wife Sheila of Fairview; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren, one sister, Bonnie Jean Taylor of Eureka, KS, besides many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jay Dee Gould, July 25, 2012.

LEORA ELLEN (HEDRICK) WEINMEISTER

LEORA ELLEN (HEDRICK) WEINMEISTER, daughter of James Franklin and Myrtle Mae (Paris) Hedrick, was born May 1, 1923 near Chester, OK in Major County. She departed this life on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at her home in Drummond, OK at the age of 90 years.

Leora was raised and educated in the Chester area where she attended school near Orion. She was united in marriage to Jack Plummer and they had four children: Frank, Billy, June and Pat. Leora was a homemaker for her family and she also worked as a nurse aide and as an in-home caregiver. She worked at Fort Supply Hospital, Enid Memorial and Integris Hospital in Enid. In the mid-1970's she married John Weinmeister and they made their home in Colorado Springs, CO. Later she returned to Drummond where she continued to make her home. She enjoyed attending the Cowboy Church west of Enid and had attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid.

She is survived by her children, June Hogsett and Pat Plummer both of Drummond, her daughter-in-law, Sumiko Plummer of Drummond, thirteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Frank and Billy Plummer, one brother, Bill Hedrick and four sisters: Helen Inderleid, Lula Long, Lila and Leota Louthan.

JOE BILL WHISENANT, Jr.

OE BILL WHISENANT, Jr. son of Joe Bill Sr. and LaMarylis (Ray) Whisenant, was born June 23, 1946 at Duncan, OK. He departed this life late Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Seiling Community Hospital following a sudden illness at the age of 67 years.

Due to his father's employment, Joe graduated from high school at Wheelus AFB, Tripoli, Libya. He furthered his education at Oklahoma State University three years in Stillwater. Joe entered the United States Navy in 1967 and he served his country in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1970. He married Paula Marie Webb, April 8, 1973 at Oklahoma City, OK. They made their first home in Edmond and later in Oklahoma City where they began their family of three daughters: Brandi, Jamie and Shai. In 1985 they moved to Seiling where Joe worked for Phillips Petroleum which today is known as DCP Midstream. He retired from DCP as a Maintenance Field Supervisor. Retirement wasn't for Joe and he began working for Cargill Valve out of Drumright, OK in sales and delivery, work he was doing at the time of his sudden passing. Joe liked music and was known for his vocal renditions of many styles of music, as well as, playing guitar. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seiling.

He is survived by his wife, Paula of Seiling, his daughters, Brandi Felan and husband Keith of Blanchard, Jamie Whisenant of Seiling and Shai Whisenant of Edmond, three grandchildren, McKenzie, McKinley and Kaden, one great granddaughter, McKylie, his mother, LaMarylis Whisenant of Oklahoma City, one sister, Toni Rogers and husband Rick of Luther, two brothers, Bruce Whisenant and wife Rhonda Kay of Ada and Monty Whisenant and wife Amy of Guthrie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

MELISSA SUZANNE UNWIN

MELISSA SUZANNE UNWIN

MELISSA SUZANNE UNWIN, daughter of Rick and Suzy Unwin, was born May 15, 1979 at Fairview , Oklahoma . She died Thursday evening, August 17, 2006 at her home in Seiling following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 27 years of age.

Melissa was raised at Seiling and she attended Seiling School , graduating from high school with the class of 1998. While at Seiling School , Melissa participated in basketball, performance group and band. She was also a high school cheerleader. She continued her education at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva the following two years. She was a devout Oklahoma State University fan and there was no doubt in her mind, she wanted to wear orange and black and earn her degree from OSU. Melissa’s illness was diagnosed in October 2001. She had numerous trips to doctor’s offices, Oklahoma and Texas hospitals, still she was determined to graduate from her beloved OSU. She persevered, set goals and in May 2006, Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. Her grade point earned her both Dean’s and President’s Honor Roll. President Bush, in his commencement address to her graduating class, mentioned Melissa by name to recognize her for her “courage in adversity” and “courage and compassion”. In Stillwater , Melissa attended the First Assembly of God Church. She was baptized at the Seiling Gospel Lighthouse where she was a member and faithfully attended as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her parents, Rick and Suzy Unwin of Seiling; her brother: Chris Unwin and his wife Vanessa of Stillwater; maternal grandmother: Lillian McCulley of Seiling and paternal grandmother: Kathern Unwin of Chester . She is also survived by two aunts: Sheila Walker of Mercedes, CA and Donna Medill and husband Mike of Woodward and one uncle: Tom McCulley and wife Linda of Lawrenceville , GA. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded by both grandfathers: James Thomas McCulley, Sr. in 1996 and Roy Dean Unwin in 2003.

The funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Elm Grove Church with Pastors Neil Unwin and Orville White, officiating. Interment was in the Hope Cemetery southeast of Chester under the direction of the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling PO Box 236 - Seiling , OK 73663 .

KAREN STUTEVILLE

KAREN KAY STUTEVILLE, daughter of Ernest and Loneita (Hoskins) Mongold, was born November 13, 1954 in Fairview, Oklahoma. She departed this life on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at her home in Weatherford, Oklahoma at the age of 59 years.

Karen was raised on the family farm in the Orion Community and she attended school at Fairview where she graduated from high school with the class of 1973. She married Larry Stuteville, June 2, 1973 at the Orion Baptist Church. They made their home in several locations in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandle, as well as, western Kansas due to their employment. Following the birth of their first child, they made their home in Seiling where they raised their children Chad Dean and Kathy Renee. Karen worked at the extension office in Taloga for sometime before taking the management position of the Seiling Housing Authority, a job she held several years. Due to Larry's employment, they moved to Weatherford, OK where they have continued to make their home. Karen and her family were all recently baptized at the Orion Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Larry Stuteville of Weatherford, one son, Chad Stuteville of Seiling and one daughter, Kathy Riggs and husband Tommy of Weatherford, five grandchildren: Talynn Stuteville, Korbin Riggs, Ashton and Brayden Stuteville and Maddox Riggs, three brothers, Micky Mongold (Kim) of Tyler, TX, Ricky Mongold (Wanda) of Chester and Michael Mongold (Tracy) of Watsonville, CA. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant sister Beverly.

HAROLD STOTTS

HAROLD LEE STOTTS, forth of eight children born to Fred and Myrtle Gertrude (Curry) Stotts, Nov. 13, 1925 east of Seiling, OK in Dewey County. He died Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at the Fairview Fellowship Home at the age of 88 years.

Harold was raised north of Seiling in Major County from the age of five. He attended Seiling School graduating from high school with the class of 1943. He entered the U. S. Army in 1944 and served his country during WWII. He was an infantryman and a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Div. He served in the Asian Pacific in Japan and the Philippines. He was honorably discharged in 1946.

He was united in marriage to Lorraine Couch, December 28, 1952 at the Christian Church in Alva. They made their home northwest of Seiling where they raised their only son, Kenneth Lee. Harold was engaged in farming and ranching. He completed auctioneer school in both Kansas City, MO and Bryan, TX and he enjoyed attending cattle sales. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Seiling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lorraine in 1978, his son Kenny in 2001 and three sisters, Irene, Nina Mae and Lucille. He is survived by two grandchildren, Kara Laubach and Kenneth Stotts, Jr., one great granddaughter, Kaylee Blessing, three sisters, Opal Carver, Treva Smith (Tom), June Wilson and one brother Everett Stotts (Ruth Ann). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at the Redinger Chapel with Pastors Dennis Adair and Orville White, officiating. Burial will follow in Brumfield Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Memorials can be made to Brumfield Cemetery or Seiling-Chester Center for Senior Citizens

Allen Stewart Kraps

Allen Stewart Kraps passed from this world Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at his home. He left this world how he lived; with courage, strength and surrounded by loved ones.

Allen was born February 11, 1949, a son of Francis and Patricia Miller Kraps, at Los Alamos, New Mexico, and moved home to Morgan County, Ohio at age three months, where he lived the remainder of his life.
He graduated from Morgan High School in the first graduating class in 1967, and went on to attend Ohio State University and graduated from Ohio University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology.

Allen’s career history involved employment with F.B.Kraps and Sons, Sealock Brothers Construction, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and retired with the U.S. Dept. of Interior - Office of Surface Mining, as a reclamation inspector and trainer.

For the past 30-plus years, while employed with the U.S. Dept. of Interior-Office of Surface Mining, Allen lead travels to Indonesia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and throughout the United States. Allen loved teaching others.
He retired from a job he loved in February, 2014.

Allen joined and was actively involved in the M-M Jaycees since 1975, and shared the beliefs they hold that “Service to Humanity is the BEST WORK OF LIFE” for over 30 years. Allen held many local, regional and State offices in the Jaycee organization, including State vice president for two terms.

Allen had a very active life. He loved the outdoors, hiking, snow skiing, was a ski instructor and NASTAR Slalom competitor.
He also loved bicycling throughout Ohio and took a cycling trip with his wife, Marsha and daughter, Alana, to Ireland.
Allen was a professional photographer and participated in the Howard Chandler Christy Art Show.

Allen was married to Marsha McElroy Kraps and had two daughters, Dorianna Spring, (1980-1998) and Alana Victoria Calendine, married to Brian; and one step-son, James Barkhurst, married to Sarah Harold Barkhurst; and two granddaughters, Sadie, age three years and Emma, age one year. His siblings are Fred (Susan) of Flagstaff, AZ, Paul of McConnelsville, Chris (Heide) of McConnelsville, Susan (Chuck) Lutz, FL, Patricia (Roberta) Cincinnati, and Cathy, Naples, FL.

A gathering for friends and family will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Matheney Funeral Home, 165 N. Kennebec Ave. McConnelsville. OH

A dinner will be held at the American Legion immediately following. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dolphins and Dreams, a scholarship in honor of his daughter, Dorianna.

JOHN SHIFFLETT

JOHN RANDALE SHIFFLETT, son of Jerry Ray and Shirley Mae (Bien) Shifflett, was born Oct. 28, 1960 at Olney, TX. He departed this life early Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at the Seiling Municipal Hospital at the age of 53 years.

John was raised in Texas where he was educated and later received his GED. He furthered his education attending vocational school in Phoenix, AZ where he studied auto mechanics. He received the Automotive Service Excellence award and worked several years as an auto mechanic. He moved from Phoenix to Woodward in 1997 and worked in the oil fields as a driller. In 1999, the family moved to Seiling where they have continued to make their home. John was an avid reader of Louis L'Amour books, John Wayne was his hero and he liked watching his movies. He was a Texas Longhorn fan, he liked playing practical jokes on family and friends and he especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He attended the Elm Grove Community Church with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Shifflett and their son, John Shifflett both of Seiling, his daughter Mary Shifflett of Ore City, TX, his step children: Greg Waldrop of Phoenix, AZ, Amy Beckett and Nicholas Thiers both of Clinton, Jennifer Zelaya of Woodward and Colt Werkhoven of Seiling; three brothers, Jeff Shifflett of Graham, TX, Jerry Shifflett of Woodward and Audie Carter of Ft. Supply; eight step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 at the Elm Grove Cemetery with Pastor Orville White, officiating.

THELMA MAE TIBBETTS-REEVES, daughter of Porter Harrison and Stella May (Livingston) Cook, was born February 1, 1927 near Seiling in Dewey County, OK. She departed this life on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center at the age of 87 years.

Thelma was known to her family and friends as "Cookie". She was raised southeast of Seiling where she began her first year of school at the Guy School then she transferred to Seiling where she received the remainder of her formal education. She was united in marriage to Wallace Tibbetts. She had two daughters: La Retta Kay and Tressa Diana.

She established her business known as "Cookie's Club" near Canton Lake in the Longdale Community in 1965. She operated the club until she retired July 2002 when she turned the business to her daughter, Diana. She was a successful business woman and enjoyed her work, clients, friends and family very much. She married Wendell Reeves in Las Vegas, Nevada and they made their home in Longdale. He preceded her in death April 26, 1996.

Cookie is survived by her daughter, Diana Pembrook-Newton and husband Harley of Longdale, one son-in-law, Wendell French of Longdale, four grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded by her parents, her daughter, Kay French. one sister, Noma Lee and five brothers, Bronnie, Clyde, A. D., Delmer and Ray, one granddaughter, Monica Wanzer, one grandson, Brett Dwayne Haworth, and two great grandsons, Curtis Stanley and Eric Haworth.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Elm Grove Community Church with Pastor Orville White, officiating. Interment will follow in the Brumfield Cemetery at Seiling. Memorials can be made to the Brumfield Cemetery with Redinger Funeral Home-PO Box 236-Seiling, OK 73663 serving as custodian of the funds.

THELMA MAE TIBBETTS-REEVES, daughter of Porter Harrison and Stella May (Livingston) Cook, was born February 1, 1927 near Seiling in Dewey County, OK. She departed this life on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center at the age of 87 years.

Thelma was known to her family and friends as "Cookie". She was raised southeast of Seiling where she began her first year of school at the Guy School then she transferred to Seiling where she received the remainder of her formal education. She was united in marriage to Wallace Tibbetts. She had two daughters: La Retta Kay and Tressa Diana.

She established her business known as "Cookie's Club" near Canton Lake in the Longdale Community in 1965. She operated the club until she retired July 2002 when she turned the business to her daughter, Diana. She was a successful business woman and enjoyed her work, clients, friends and family very much. She married Wendell Reeves in Las Vegas, Nevada and they made their home in Longdale. He preceded her in death April 26, 1996.

Cookie is survived by her daughter, Diana Pembrook-Newton and husband Harley of Longdale, one son-in-law, Wendell French of Longdale, four grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded by her parents, her daughter, Kay French. one sister, Noma Lee and five brothers, Bronnie, Clyde, A. D., Delmer and Ray, one granddaughter, Monica Wanzer, one grandson, Brett Dwayne Haworth, and two great grandsons, Curtis Stanley and Eric Haworth.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Elm Grove Community Church with Pastor Orville White, officiating. Interment will follow in the Brumfield Cemetery at Seiling. Memorials can be made to the Brumfield Cemetery

LINDA PHILLIPS

Linda Sue Phillips (White) was born March 5, 1940, to Walter Warren White and Zelma Mae White (Knight) in Woodward, OK. Linda was united in marriage to Don Phillips on March 12, 1957 in Mooreland, OK, where they made their home and had four children. She graduated from Mooreland High School in 1958, where she served as a State FHA officer. Linda kept the home and family in order and was instrumental in the family cattle business. Along with her husband, Linda ran the Sand Hill Cattle Co. Steakhouse in Mooreland that opened in 1975. She later owned and operated Trader’s Bistro, a restaurant in Woodward. Linda was a supporter of the 4-H Program and the Mooreland and Woodward County fairs. She was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma, who enjoyed scrap booking, baking, sewing, having family gatherings, and keeping track of the baby calves in the family cattle operation.



Linda was one of seven children raised west of Mooreland and is preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings. She is survived by her husband, Don, of the home; four children, Jimmie Phillips, Tamara Dubnansky, Jeff Phillips and wife Sherri all of Mooreland, and Cindy Whitfield and husband Steve of Oklahoma City, as well as eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.



The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Mooreland with Pastor Larry Masoner, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mooreland Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Woodard County 4-H

MARY ROHLA

MARY ELIZABETH ROHLA, daughter of Isaac Eve and Irona Pearl (Cruze) Bradford, was born September 7, 1948 at Sayre, OK. She departed this life on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at her home near Chester at the age of 65 years.

Mary was raised and educated at Waynoka where she attended Waynoka School through her junior year. In 1965, Mary was a Waynoka rodeo queen candidate, along with her friend Connie Bowers, a cousin of Dick Rohla. The couple was introduced and they married July 11, 1966 at the First Church of God in Waynoka. They moved to Chester where she attended her senior year at Seiling, graduating with the class of 1967.

Mary has been a member of the Elm Grove Community Church where she has been a Missionette Leader, Powerhouse Kids teacher and taught Sunday School at the Seiling Nursing Center over seventeen years. She was active in YHO, now Seiling Community Homemakers, Chester Community Club, 4H, Girl scout leader and soccer coach. She served fifteen years on the Seiling School Board and was active in the Seiling Roundup Club. She would tell us today her most treasured role was that of being a wife, mother and grandmother. Mary worked several years at Biven's Drug and later became their Pharmacy Tech until she retired in 2013.

She is survived by her husband, Dick Rohla of Chester, three children: Joy Trammell and husband Ron of Chester, Charles Rohla and wife Andrea of Roff and Travis Rohla and wife Anika of Chester, five grandchildren: Rusty Trammell (Kasey), Kari Weiand (Cutter), Eddie, Ethan and Clayton Rohla; two great grandchildren, Raingler and Karsten Trammell; her mother, Irona Bradford of Waynoka; five foreign exchange students: Lisa Fugger of Germany (2000), Maja Pushkarova of Macedonia (2001), Aino Puirava of Finland (2002) and Anika Brandt of Germany 2002 and Lucia Janickova of Slovakia (2003); four brothers: Richard Bradford (Susan) of Waynoka, Jerry Bradford (Debra) of Longdale, Boyd Bradford (Lola) of Waynoka and Troy Bradford ( Cindy) of Waynoka. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister, Peggy Louise.

She died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Seiling Nursing Center at the age of 103.

Kitty Pittman was the sixth of nine children born on January 19, 1910 to Solomon Jacob Woodring and Nettie (Heaton) Woodring on the family homestead southeast of Chester, Oklahoma in Major County. She attended Hope School and graduated from Fairview High School in 1931. She later attended Northwestern State Teachers College at Alva, Oklahoma where she received her teacher's certificate.

She married William Henry Pittman, Sr. on April 12, 1932 in Seiling, Oklahoma. She has been a member of the First Christian Church since 1931 and a Sunday school teacher over sixty years. Also, she has been a member of the Seiling Music Lover's Club over sixty years and a life member of the Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She was active in the Ombudsman organization. She became a bank director of the First National Bank in Seiling, Oklahoma in 1943 and was chairman emeritus.

Her husband, W. H. Pittman, Sr., died January 18, 1999 and she is survived by two sons, William H. Pittman, Jr. and James E. Pittman and wife Lynda all of Seiling, Oklahoma. Also, four grandchildren: Kirk Pittman and wife Charlotte; David Pittman and wife, Dawn all of Seiling, Oklahoma; Shantel Pittman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Rhonda Unser and husband Mike, of Helotis, Texas. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
